A Look at Lost Zone Giratina in the Obsidian Flames Meta

Hello, Cut or Tap readers! With the hype of Worlds winding down after an exciting few weeks to be a part of the Pokemon community, it is time to start getting ready for the next season of competition. In just a couple of weeks, we will start getting our first major events of the season, with a Regional taking place in Pittsburgh on the second weekend of September. With the new season comes a new format: Obsidian Flames. I have heard a variety of takes on this set, from some people saying that the set won’t affect the meta at all to others declaring the new deck from the set, Charizard ex, broken. I think it is somewhere in between, with Charizard simply being an addition to an already diverse meta. Regardless of your thoughts, I see a couple of things as certain: Charizard ex will see play, and decks that are good now will not simply stop being good with Obsidian Flames legal. Today, I want to revisit one of the best decks from the last format that I believe may be even stronger in Obsidian Flames: Lost Box Giratina.
