Changes to Lost Box in Paldea Evolved

Hello! I’m Andrew Hedrick, back with another article on Cut or Tap. This time, I will be focusing on the new set, Paldea Evolved, to help you better understand the meta going into the North America International Championships and beyond. Specifically, I will be writing about Lost Box decks, and the potential changes they will see with this new card pool and the adaptations of other decks.

I have been testing a couple of different Lost Box lists, including both the Kyogre and Turbo versions. These decks benefit from some of the same new cards, but also will go in different directions in other areas. I will briefly share my current lists for each of these decks, and then elaborate on some of the cards that prompt the most interesting discussions in both versions of Lost Box.

After upgrading to Stage 2 you will see the rest of Andrew’s article and an audio file of Andy Hyun reading this article here:

  1. I’d tested pal pad over the last couple of weeks but it wasn’t really performing. I ended up chucking it in the lost zone whenever it came up and only rarely using it. I’d rather either a consistency card in that slot or another vacuum to help get to sableeye a turn quicker. You can still only Colress once per turn.
